Punta Mita: The sophisticated beauty of the rugged Mexican Pacific coast
Nestled along Mexico's breathtaking Riviera Nayarit, Punta Mita stands out as a haven of unrivaled splendor. This famed destination of untouched beaches, world-class golf courses, and legendary surf breaks lends itself perfectly to romantic getaways, adventurous retreats, or a splendid vacation for the whole family.
Sitting on the Mexican Pacific coast, Punta Mita is an all-year-round destination. On average, it gets over 300 days of tropical sun a year, and from November until May – the high season – cool ocean currents make the weather pleasant and stable, attracting tourists worldwide. The winter is also perfect for wildlife tours and spotting humpback whales, dolphins, and even orcas in their natural habitat.
From June until October, visitors can expect regular spells of rain. The summer months are also known to be the hurricane season, although, under normal circumstances, isolated tropical showers come in the evenings, leaving plenty of time to enjoy the day. You will also find fewer crowds, which may be ideal for those looking for additional privacy.
