The word tianguis derives from the Central Mexican language of Nahuatl (known historically as Aztec) and means “open-air market”.
That's what's here every Saturday in Parque La Ceiba, just blocks from downtown Playa del Carmen.
When: Monthly on set Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m, next one is October 20th
Where: La Ceiba Park, corner of 60th Avenue and 1st Street South
